Andean Cat Round...Your Opinion?

http://www.royalsilver.com/

Spot + 15% per round is a bit steep, but free shipping to the US, and a portion of proceeds go to charity.

Nice looking round IMO, I'm tempted to place a test order. Has anyone ordered from them before?

I want to buy some but there didn't seem to be any way through the site. I sent them an email. Being a mint, I don't think they'll be into small quantities.

I'm interested. But what's with the delay in releasing the round? First February now March. They'll take your order now without payment and bill when it is shipped, but at spot+15%, what happens if it goes north of $19.00 before they release it? I'll sit on the fence with this one and wait for the reviews.

Thanks for the heads up :bear_thumb: and let us know how it goes.

I would also like to know what they respond with.

Here's a screen capture of the return email. If they have a high minimum, maybe someone can buy and distribute.

That's one ugly looking cat.

Damn, I'll agree!

Looks like an 8th grade art class drawing!

TomD:
Plese update us as soon as you know more. I'm also concerned that they delayed the availability 2-3 times, as well as that they will price them at their convenience.

I respectfully disagree with those of you that feel that's an ugly round/cat. There is no such thing as ugly silver, and most cats are amazing specimens.

Will do, look for this thread to resurrect.

No such thing as ugly silver? Did you see the 2010 Britannia?

Thanx TomD. I stand corrected on the "ugly silver" issue. I did see the 2010 Britannia, my comment on the thread you started is below:

I never thought I'd say this, but the obverse with the Loch Ness Monster complete with gills may actually be the least repulsive side of this coin.

Britannia looks more like the chain-smoking trailer trash waitress that works at Denny's than the beauty from past designs. Dressed in rags and complete with mysterious giant brain tumor.

It's still ok to fondle, just be sure to turn the lights off!

Yeah, that's lousy art work and the web site sux and there is no way to place an order and the coins are not ready on time anyway and ... Does this outfit do anything right?

Their website says no minimum, no maximum. Free shipping to US and Bolivia which is where they are located.

As a fan of cats, I totally agree...but this "rendition" of such a graceful creature has not done the species any justice IMO.

So would I if I could be a little more certain they could deliver at a specific price. I don't want to join a waiting list with no idea what the actual price will be.

Does the guard cat come with every 500 round purchase?

I think that's the plan.

Their presentation seems a lot like time shares in Florida.
Bolivian plant.
Panamanian headquarters.
Proud of the fact they are tax sheltered, with bank secrecy and financial privacy.
Super secret recovery process.
Purest silver ever.
Their silver sells for 6% over spot.
Smells scammy, if you ask me.

I checked a few images. There aren't many. The cat apparently just isn't photogenic.

Well, they do seem to have a GIANT hard-on for Doe Run II in Peru.
With their little "Smelters kill children" blurb.
